Thief

Stealing

Robbing to take a thrill

Not needing

Much

Wondering, looking over your shoulder

Worrying? No

Too sly never find me

Robbing and hiding, sneaking in the
Dark
Seamless
With
The
Night

Seeking and gliding and stumbling

Falling Hard

Blood from the wound
Finds its way
to your eye
Stinging
Mixing with sweat
Panic as the lights go

Dim
Dark
Out
Sirens
Alarms
Fog
Handcuffs

Iron bars
Damn
Head hurts, throbbing, headache
Damn
They found you.

This makes me think of the adrenalin high and coming back down with the thud of reality. You can almost picture it all in the mind.
I like this. I was totally caught off guard at the end: I was standing in the feet of the thief and then "They found you." NICE!
Thank You Scott and Nunyaa. I appreciate the comments.
Beamer, I love the structure in regards to the one word lines invoking the speed of the chase. You handle that superbly. Thanks for entering my weekly Poetry prompt!
